Win a Tablet Personal Lines Contest Official Contest Rules and Regulations
1. The Win a Tablet contest is organized and held by The Verge Insurance Group of St. Catharines and Reimer Verge Insurance Brokers of Virgil and Milmine Insurance Brokers of Stoney Creek and Whites’ Insurance Brokers of Port Colborne (each referred to hereinafter as the “Organizers”). The Organizers can provide quotes for auto, home, seasonal, recreational vehicles and motorcycle insurance (each referred to hereinafter as “Personal Insurance” products.)
CONTEST PERIOD
2. The “Win a Tablet” contest will begin Monday April 21, 2022 at 8 a.m.
(EDT) and will end Monday June 30th, 2022 at 12:00am (Eastern Time). “The Contest Period”
ELIGIBILITY
3. The contest is open to persons who meet the following criteria during the contest period and at the time of the draw (referred to hereinafter as “Eligible Participant(s).”)
- A physical person, not an organization, business, corporation.
- Reside in Ontario and have reached the age of majority.
- Request/agree to receive a quote on personal insurance products from the Organizers.
- Existing customers who refer others to obtain a quote for personal insurance products AND that person does receive a quote. Existing customers are defined a clients of the Organizers who hold an active policy with the Organizers during the contest period. The following persons are NOT eligible to participate in the contest:
- The Organizers and their affiliated companies, their employees, their employees’ relatives or their representatives.
- Those who receive a quote for other than a personal insurance product.
- Existing customers who refer others to obtain a quote from Verge AND those referred do NOT obtain a quote for personal insurance products from the organizers.
HOW TO ENTER
4. No purchase is necessary. No purchase is required to enter the contest now will a purchase enhance an Eligible participants chances of winner a prize. All Eligible participants who meet the eligibility requirements will automatically be entered in the contest.
5. Only one entry per person. For new potential customers obtaining a quote on personal insurance products.
6. Multiple entries are allowed. For existing customers of the organizers who refer others to obtain and quote from the organizers AND they receive a quote from the organizers.
7. Requests for quotes can be made by calling The Verge Insurance Group or its affiliates or by requesting a quote via the websites at www.vergeinsurance.com. No purchase is necessary. Please give them code “VergeFree” in order to get entered.
8. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries received.
TO BE DECLARED A WINNER
9. The draws from the entries will be conducted on Monday July 11th, at 11:00am in the Verge Insurance Group Corporate office at 131 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, Ontario.
10. The selected participants, according to the provisions herein, will be contacted by telephone by The Verge Insurance Group. The entrant will be declared a winner if he/she meets the requirements stated in these Rules.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIZE
11. There will be one winner drawn and each will receive one Ipad.
12. All of the prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, and must be accepted by the winner as awarded.
13. The prize cannot be redeemed for Cash.
18. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded. By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their name and/or photograph, if required, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor, without compensation. The travel costs incurred by the Winner to obtain his/her prize are the responsibility of the Winner.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
19. The Winners have until August 1st, 2022, to claim their Prize. If the person whose name is drawn is not eligible at the time of the draw or if they fail to claim the Prize within the prescribed time limit, The Verge Insurance Group reserves the right to choose a recipient from among the participants who did not win a prize.
20. From July 11, 2022 to July 15, 2022, the name of the Contest Winner will be available at The Verge Insurance Group offices at 131 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, Ontario L2R 6W2 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. During this time you will be able to see the winners on our website at www.vergeinsurance.com
21. The Verge Insurance Group, its partners and their respective shareholders, administrators, executives and employees, as well as any other agency related to this Contest are released from all liability connected to the Prize and the Contest and provide no guarantee in its regard.
22. The Verge Insurance Group may, at its own discretion, disqualify any individual from this Contest in the event it deems, at its sole discretion, that such individual has attempted to damage, tamper with or corrupt the operation of this Contest, or if such individual is in violation of the terms and conditions of these Rules.
23. Contest rules are available at the offices of The Verge Insurance Group from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on the website at www.vergeinsurance.com
24. Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall The Verge Insurance Group be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages that result from the use of or inability to use the Prize. These limitations or the exclusion of liability will not apply to the extent that any applicable statute prohibits such limitations or the exclusion of liability.
25. Decisions by The Verge Insurance Group are final and binding.
26. This contest is subject to all applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws.
27. Promotion. By participating in this contest, each winner authorizes the Organizers and their representatives to use his/her name, place of residence, photographs, image, voice and/or statements regarding his/her Prize for advertising purposes (such as internet and print ads) without any compensation.
